    Legality of Surrogacy in Home Country

    Question – Surrogacy is illegal in my country. But I can always have it done in India, isn’t it?

    Answer – You need to find out from your country consulate in India if you can take the baby, born through surrogacy, back with you. Also, you need to find about the documents required. The clinic will require a proof that you will be able to take the child back legally with you, before they accept you in the surrogacy program.
