Dr. Esmeral graduated from the Universidad Del Cauca in Costa Rica and has a degree in General Surgery from the University of Costa Rica.
He has attended many advanced laparoscopy & bariatric surgery courses, seminars, symposiums, and association meetings in the USA and other countries. His major focus for the last more than 20 years has been Weight loss surgeries, like gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, mini gastric bypass, and adjustable gastric band.
He is also an active member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. Dr Esmeral has a very large number of international patients coming to him.
