It all starts with getting approved
Passport/Visa: US and Canadian citizens do not require a visa; however, they need to have a valid passport to enter Mexico (passport card for Tijuana).
Entering By Air: On arrival at the airport, you get the FMM visa without extra cost. Airlines usually provide FMM forms in the flight itself.
As the FMM needs to be returned to authorities on leaving the country, it should be preserved carefully; failure to return may carry a penalty.
