“My husband and I left Tyler Texas. My nephew drove us to the airport. I had, I said we just gonna take one phone. And so what happened was I got international calling. Here I am going to a place I have never been in my whole entire life. Don’t even know what the dentist looked like. I went online and saw the office.
“I made my mind, I am like – yeah, this is about to happen. I leave my phone in the car. Imagine! Not having no way of communicating with anybody. So we are at the airport, and we looked at each other, I said is no one gonna take away my miracle. Got to the airport, the clinic was right on the house. And I said I am just gonna put my trust in god.
“We went there, the driver picked us up, took me to the hotel. We got there about 12:30; I had an appointment at 2. The clinic was on time. I called them when I got there that the man who picked me up he was on time. I can’t think of the name but he was, I have never seen a place that was on time. You know here in the United States you are waiting for ever. But here, everyone made you feel comfortable. I had a two bedroom, two bath suite. I went, and I started the dental work.
“Well, I am not gonna lie to tell you it’s not painful, but let me tell you, you’re looking at a brand-new woman. It was worth every bit of it. The staff was cordial. I felt so at ease because here was a dentist I never met, and it was nothing but the grace of god. I mean, I knew that I was in the right place. I know I feel like I had been in a cocoon, and now I am better far.
“It was different because I remember coming back home on the airplane and I looked in the mirror, you know how small those bathrooms are, and I looked in the mirror and I said—hooo, who’s that! I remember when I would take pictures, I’d say ok we’re gonna coz I have two … on this side and no we are gotta go on this side. Now I take my phone and I take so many pictures, because man I am just like, oh it is not just vanity of anything but I knew, I knew I am new person and it is because I stepped out on faith.”
